I am seeking an EHR Implementation Lead to serve as the technical bridge between a healthcare technology platform and the broader healthcare ecosystem. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end implementation of electronic health record (EHR) integrations, ensuring the seamless exchange of clinical data between healthcare organizations and a cloud-based software platform.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare and technology, directly impacting care coordination and patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, account management, and clinical stakeholders while driving successful customer implementations and ongoing integration support.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Lead the technical onboarding and implementation of new EHR integrations.

  • Configure, test, and support HL7 message flows using Mirth Connect.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer implementation engagements.

  • Manage implementation timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communications throughout the integration lifecycle.

  • Establish and maintain secure FTP/SFTP accounts and file transfer connections.

  • Configure, audit, and maintain user permissions and access controls across integration environments.

  • Collaborate with software engineers to troubleshoot interface issues and validate data mappings.

  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of healthcare interfaces and integrations.

  • Translate customer technical requirements into actionable implementation plans.

  • Create and maintain integration documentation, workflow diagrams, and technical specifications.

  • Monitor active integrations for errors, performance issues, and data anomalies.

  • Drive timely issue resolution and continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to the enhancement of implementation standards, tooling, and operational best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Experience

  • 4–5+ years of experience in EHR integration, healthcare IT, or a related technical implementation role.

  • Hands-on experience with HL7 v2.x messaging standards.

  • Experience working with healthcare integration engines, particularly Mirth Connect.

  • Experience configuring and managing FTP/SFTP connections and secure file transfer protocols.

  • Understanding of access control principles and user permission auditing.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot HL7 message structures and interface issues.

  • Strong project coordination and customer-facing communication skills.

  • Experience managing implementation engagements involving both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

  • Experience collaborating with software engineering teams in a technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FHIR and modern healthcare interoperability standards.

  • Experience integrating with EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Athenahealth, Veradigm (Allscripts), or similar systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based or SaaS healthcare platforms.

  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.

  • Knowledge of healthcare data exchange workflows and interoperability best practices.
